MORAGA, Calif. – The first two-goal game as a Gael by Wade Muttitt has earned him the Bay Alarm Student Athlete of the Week.
The transfer from Feather River College scored two goals in his season opener as a freshman for the Golden Eagles, but his two goals at Pacific last Wednesday was his first brace at the NCAA Division I level.
Muttitt scored in the first 20 seconds of the match in Stockton, Calif. in the Gaels' 3-1 win. He received a long pass from Boyd Curry and blasted a right-footed shot on one touch from just inside the penalty area, past a leaping keeper into the left side of the net.
